OUR VISION

Priority Care Services and Housing Ltd will endeavor to keep all our valued service users well informed of their rights as citizens to live their own lives as they wish, confident that services are of high quality, are safe and promote their own individual requirements for independence, well-being and dignity. Priority Care Services and Housing Ltd will therefore seek to offer self-directed support ensuring that our customers will be able to design the support or care arrangements that best suit their specific needs. We will provide a 24 hour service to help alleviate the shortage of health care personnel in care homes, community and hospitals.

The owners of Priority Care Services and Housing have worked in health care settings (domiciliary care and live-in care) for more than 15 years. The company is accredited provider to many local authorities within West Midlands.  We are regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission

Priority Care Services and housing protects those who lack capacity and enable them to take part, as much as possible in decisions that affect them, the following five statutory principles of mental capacity act forms part of our code of practice:

 

  • A presumption of capacity - every adult has the right to make his or her own decisions and must be assumed to have capacity to do so unless it is proved otherwise

  • The right for individuals to be supported to make their own decisions - people must be given all appropriate help before anyone concludes that they cannot make their own decisions

  • That individuals must retain the right to make what might be seen as eccentric or unwise decisions

  • Best interests - anything done for or on behalf of people without capacity must be in their best interests

  • Least restrictive intervention - anything done for or on behalf of people without capacity should be an option that is less restrictive of their basic - as long as it is still in their best interests.
